Our achievements
Youth society is a valuable resource of any country. National development and progress is largely dependent on the active participation of society. Because the economic, social and cultural environment of a nation is built around their talent, creativity, courage and talent. The most progressive, productive and sensitive section of the population is the youth. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh created the Ministry of Youth Development in 1978, which was later renamed as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, for the purpose of engaging the unorganized job-seeking unemployed youth in well-organized, orderly and productive activities. The Directorate of Youth Development was created in 1981 to implement the activities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the field level. Chitalmari upazila office youth program started from 1994.Till December 2023, 9363 youths have been trained in various trades with the aim of turning them into skilled human resources. 4409 youths have been created self-employed. So far 3,86,43,600/- (Three Crore Eighty Six Lakhs Forty Three Thousand Six Hundred) loans have been disbursed to 1672 youth for project implementation/expansion. 10 youth organizations have been given registration/recognition to speed up youth activities. Besides, 1278 youths have been attached to part-time jobs for 2 years through the National Service programme.
